Soul and Maka
Im the one

    Soul ran down the same hallway they came from but it seemed longer then it used to be. A dusty red doer came into his vision.
" Thank god." he gasped " Don't worry Maka Im getting you out of here even if it kills me." He slammed his back against the doer but it caught on something. What ever was blocking the doer flew forward and Soul charged threw.
"Hey what's the big idea?" Black star said rubbing the large bump on his rear end. When he didn't get a reply he spun around but stopped half way when he noticed that Tsubakie was covering her mouth with her shaking hands and had a horrified look in her eyes.
"Eh what's wrong with you Tsuba...." his eyes fell upon the still corps in Souls arms.
"Maka."
"Soul what happened?" Kidd asked touching Souls shoulder.
"That bastard... He froze Maka's soul now she's like a doll... her eyes are lifeless." Soul felt his stomach ache and turn as he held back the tears of anger and sadness that clawed at his eyes bagging to escape.
"Soul we have to get her to the DWMA hospital NOW!" Kidd's shook the shaking silver haired boy in hopes that it would encourage him to move as fast as his bike could take him. It worked. Soul took off in a nano second leaving his friends behind to contact Shinigamie-sama.


Soul wasn't allowed to ride in the helicopter that was going to carry Maka to safety. Instead he had to tack a plane home and wait to see his Miester. His knee bounced impatiently in the hallway of the large school. He hardly noticed his friends arriving until Black Star slapped his back.
" Hey man quit with the depression its not like he killed her." Those words hit Soul's heart deeper then any bullet could ever travel.
"No he didn't kill her but he will if Maka doesn't wake up."
"Look we'll find something to help Maka but right now we need to wait for Dr. Stein to figure out what is going on with her soul."
" And that is precisely what I did." Stein walked out of the operation room and lit a cigarette.
" Did you figure out what's wrong with her? Is Maka going to be okay?" Soul stood up and stared directly at the man who had the information he desperately needed.
" Maka's Soul was as you say frozen but she is still alive."
Soul's face lit up and hope grew in his eyes.
"However there are some complications that are in the way."
"What is it? Will she be okay?" Kidd asked immediately after Stein finished.
"Yes Maka will be fine as long as that vampire doesn't get his hands on her. Unfortunately the only way for her to come back is for her to be bitten by a vampire. Thats where you come in Soul."
"What?! But Im not a vampire I cant suck her blood!"
"Thats why we use this." Dr. Stein pulled a glass test tube from his pocket and held it up for every one to see. It had a deep red liquid inside. Soul's curiosity triggered his seances.
'Is that blood?"
"Yup but not just any blood its Maka's blood and Vampire blood. Soul when you drink this you will turn into a vampire for a short while in that time you will bite Maka and then resonate with her soul."
"Hold on a sec." Kidd interrupted "for soul to become a vampire he only needs the blood from one. What's Maka's blood for?"
"When Soul becomes a vampire his human form is tucked deep from his being and the instinct of a vampire will take over and he will be searching for his victim witch is Maka. When he bites her the blood in this vile will take the human part of his soul to hers and then they will resonate."
Soul didn't take a second thought about becoming a blood sucking beast all he wanted was to save Maka and bring her back.
" I'll do it!"
"Good now take this but don't drink it until I close the doer behind you." Stein handed Soul the blood and pushed him toward the room that Maka rested in.
"Okay Im ready" he took a deep breath and waited for the sound of the doer closing. He walked over to Maka's bead side and stroked her cheek. It was cold and firm. It wasn't like the soft warm skin he cupped in his hand when they had kissed on the plane.
Stein nodded his head then closed the doer. It was time.
"Im coming... Maka."
Soul popped the cork off and placed the glass to his lips. He took one last deep breath, closed his eyes, and swung his head back. The warm liquid flowed into his mouth and down his throat. A burst of pain streamed through his head cosign him to fall to his knees screaming in pain. Suddenly the pain vanished and was replaced with a dry thirst. A thirst for blood.
His tongue ran across his teeth. They were still sharp but shorter then his enlarged canines. His eyes fell upon Maka who still hadn't moved. Her hair was still in pigtails and reveled her bare neck. Her skin seemed so inviting and satisfying. Soul lowered his head to her exposed skin and breathed in her scent. She smelled just like honey suckle vine and lavender. Soul couldn't take it anymore he wanted her and he wanted her now.
His mouth gaped open and his teeth touched her delicate skin. His limit was at its breaking point now and he felt the surge for her blood deepen and explode in his mind. Soul pierced her skin and deepened his bloody kiss to her neck. He moaned as he felt the warm rush of her blood come poring onto his tongue.
Soul felt himself pulled into his human self. His eyes shot open and he found himself floating in something that seemed like water but was rely nothing. He looked around for Maka's soul and found a dim light in the distance. As the light got closer he realized it was Maka's soul but it was surrounded by a dim purple haze.
"I've found you... Maka." Her soul floated into his arms and he felt a rush of wind and leaves surrounded Soul creating a ball around him. The wind died down and the leaves fell on hard frozen ground.
"Is this her soul? It looks so lonely."
Soul looked at the world of Maka's soul it was a forest of willow trees a small pond sat in a clearing covered in an unwelcome ice and a purple fog. Someone suddenly came into his view it was Maka.
"Maka!" Soul chirped and started to jog to his girl but was suddenly stopped by a realization. She was still and lifeless. She was staring at the pond with a look of nothingness and sadness.
"Maka... Its me Soul..." She didn't move. Soul placed a hand on her shoulder hoping that it would some how bring her to her seances. To his surprise she shifted her eyes to his hand and turned her head.
"Who are you?" Those words struck him through his heart and went straight to his soul crushing his very being.
"Maka... You cant... Forget me... please." He stuttered to find his words but he couldn't find a way to bring her to him. Then everything he had held back all the pain and anger he promised not to let go of burst from his heart and came out as tears falling from his eyes filled with hurt.
"How could you Maka you said you loved me? You said that no matter what we would always be together! Why don't you remember? We kis...." Thats when his last hope gleamed in his mined.
Soul gently lifted Maka's head up from her chin so her eyes met his.
"Remember when we kissed on the plane? That was both mine and your first kiss. I was afraid that you would hate me after I lost control but you didn't." He slowly brought his lips closer to hers.
"You said you loved me and then we kissed even deeper then the first. I left every feeling I had for you on the verge of losing you but you accepted me." His lips hardly touched hers when suddenly a drop of cold water fell on his cheek. The ice was melting off of the weeping willows around them. The deep evil fog had vanished. Soul looked at Maka her eyes were the bright and soulful green again.
"Soul." she whispered with a horse and silent weep. Soul felt his heart jump out of his chest and swim in the now melted pond.
"Maka!" He yelped with happiness and glee. Suddenly he felt an urge awaken in his heart it wasn't the urge for blood like it was when he was a vampire. It was the longing for Maka's lips to connect with his for her to be wrapped in his arms. He wanted her more than what his life depended on. Slowly he entangled his hand with hers gripping them like it was his life line. Soul couldn't take it any more. He wanted to engulf himself with Maka.
His lips came crashing down on hers longing for every inch of her body to be his. Maka gasped as his sudden action took place. Soul teasingly licked her lips making her groan in pleasure and excitement. As Maka let another gasp slip in between her lips Soul hungrily slipped his tongue in to dance with hers.
The two broke apart gasping for air. Soul smirked at his companion satisfied by her loving expression. They both realized that they were in the infirmary and soul was on top of Maka in a seductive position.
"It took me through hell but I got you back."
"Well if you two are done with the love fesst I have some things to talk to you about." Dr. Stein said from the doer frame giggles hiding behind him. The two blushed madly and Soul jumped off Maka when her dad gave him a death glare from behind Stein.
"Now Soul, Maka you two may already know this but a Death scythe that is in love with there master increases there resonance correct?"
"Yea."
"Well when Soul dove into your soul Maka he wouldn't have been able to bring you back unless he was your soul mate. So now that you two have found your soul mate your resonance will increase madly and you can use the power of your love to fight against kishin eggs and other things that go bump in the night."
"Wait so Im Maka's soul mate?! Soul smiled as the words came out of his mouth.
"Im the one."
"Well of corse soul why wouldn't you be?"
That night Maka and Soul went home hand in hand and couldn't wait till they got home. To the home they shared together and to share an unforgettable night together.
